BluSapphire appoints industry veteran Luis Curet to lead revenue generation

Full-stack cyber security platform, BluSapphire Cyber Systems, has appointed industry veteran Luis Curet as Vice President–Sales to lead its revenue generation in the US.

BluSapphire is an industry-first, purpose-built, cloud-native, beyond XDR™ platform powered by AI and Big Data analytics. BluSapphire enables organisations to quickly transform their cybersecurity posture, resulting in faster time to value and allowing faster cyber breach detection and mitigation, thereby reducing the organisation’s overall business risk posture.

Luis comes with 25+ years of experience in the technology industry, primarily in computer networking and cybersecurity. He has served in multiple go-to-market (GTM) executive roles, leveraging his experience in sales, marketing and customer success.

Commenting on the appointment, Kiran Vangaveti, Founder and CEO, said in a statement, "Luis is highly reputed in the industry and has a proven record of building long-term business relationships with customers in North America. His strong market presence and relationships are assets that will complement and enhance BluSapphire's ability to meet the needs of our customers."

A University of Wisconsin-Madison alum, Luis has worked with IBM, Johnson & Johnson, Morgan Stanley, Texas Instruments, Philip Morris, and many government agencies. He has also been part of the executive management team at multiple technology startups that have had successful exits, including Rainbow Technologies (acquired by SafeNet), M86 Security (acquired by Trustwave) and Securly (acquired by Golden Gate Capital).

Luis Curet, VP-Sales, North America, BluSapphire, said, "The XDR market is growing at greater than 20%. BluSapphire's approach to solving the cybersecurity challenge for enterprise organisations positions us to capture a significant percentage of this opportunity. I was impressed the first time I saw their solution and look forward to building their team and scale business in the US."

In 2022, BluSapphire Cyber Systems raised $9.2 million as part of its Series A round. The round was led by Barings Private Equity India, with participation from cross border VC firm Dallas Venture Capital, Binny Bansal-backed xto10x, RPG Ventures, and Merisis Venture Partners.
